You're already doing the work that matters. I create the visuals and stories that turn your impact into momentum.

You Know the Mission. I Build the Message.

Meet the Founder

I'm Alexis Noelle Galasso. My career has always been about turning passion into systems that scale. I started in Pittsburgh's grassroots music scene, working the floor of independent venues and building audience engagement programs from scratch.

That foundation launched a career at the intersection of technology and culture. I spent four years at Apple leading community creative education before relocating to Los Angeles to work on the artist marketing team at Apple Music.

  • I then spent six years at Universal Music Group on the catalog commerce team, where I led technical release operations and supported campaign strategy across all major streaming platforms. I oversaw 2,000+ release pitches for artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Sleep Token, and Olivia Dean while building the operational infrastructure that powered the team's workflows.

I founded Salt + Noelle to apply that same strategic discipline to conservation storytelling. What began as a personal outlet has grown into a media studio reaching over 117,000 readers across 190+ countries.

Today, operating from my dockside studio in Channel Islands Harbor, I bring the systems I built managing global campaigns to partners working at the intersection of conservation, research, and public engagement. Whether documenting a multi-day coastal expedition or building a digital roadmap for a research institution, I apply the same clarity and execution that made me effective at scale. I also continue to take on fractional work in music operations and strategic partnerships, particularly where conservation and culture meet.

Our Services

Our Services

  • Your outsourced content team for coastal and conservation storytelling. No matter where you're based, you get a dedicated monthly content stream without the overhead of hiring in-house staff or coordinating multiple freelancers.

Each month, you brief me on your content needs: product documentation, seasonal campaigns, educational content, or destination coverage. I execute using my specialized access to Channel Islands Harbor, California's Central Coast, and marine environments. You get professional-grade deliverables on a predictable timeline.

On-site coverage available: Need me at your specific location? Projects within Ventura and Santa Barbara counties are included. Other locations quoted based on travel requirements.

I deploy a dedicated field team on every project. While I handle primary documentation on the Sony a1 II system, my field assistant provides redundant camera coverage, environmental context shots, and equipment troubleshooting. You get the depth and reliability of a two-person crew without second shooter fees.

    What You Get:

    • 25-30 commercial-grade images monthly

    • 5-8 short-form videos (4K, multi-format)

    • Comprehensive metadata (species ID, location, date, technical specs)

    • Monthly strategy sync

    • Priority booking for time-sensitive content

    • Print, broadcast, and out-of-home usage available (quoted separately based on scope)

Investment: Starting at $3,500/month (quarterly commitment)

  • Fractional strategy and operations support without the overhead of a full-time hire. I operate as an extension of your team, from targeted project support up to fractional executive strategy (think COO or CMO-level involvement, without the full-time commitment or salary). Scope and investment scale together based on what you actually need.

Whether you're a conservation nonprofit building your first membership program, a destination brand rethinking your content pipeline, or a record label looking to align artists with conservation organizations that reflect their values, I integrate into your team and build the framework that moves things forward. & FAQs

  • I only work with missions that align with my values. Whether you're a research institution, a conservation nonprofit, or an adventure travel brand committed to ethical wildlife experiences, your work has to matter beyond the bottom line. This isn't transactional content creation for me. I live dockside in Channel Islands Harbor because this coast and these animals are personal to me.

I bring over a decade of strategic operations experience from Universal Music Group and Apple, so I understand how to translate your mission into systems that scale. I can help you turn research data into compelling stories, build content pipelines that work long-term, and think through how visuals support your goals. I'm not just showing up with a camera. I'm showing up with strategy.

I deploy a two-person field team on every project, and I include digital usage rights in my base pricing. You're not paying hidden licensing fees on top of day rates. For retainer clients, you have full commercial digital rights for the duration of our partnership. For one-time projects, you receive 2-year digital rights included.

You're not hiring a vendor. You're partnering with someone who's personally invested in the work.

  • I maintain a robust, multi-camera arsenal designed to capture high-end content in any condition — from the studio to the sea.

    • Commercial & Print (Primary): My workhorse is the Sony A1 II (50MP) paired with the Sony 24-105mm G. This flagship system offers incredible resolution for large-scale prints and aggressive cropping without quality loss.

    • Ethical Wildlife: To adhere to my Admire from Afar ethos, I use the Sony 200-600mm G (plus 1.4x Teleconverters). This allows me to capture intimate portraits of wildlife without ever encroaching on their space.

    • Marine & Immersive: I use the Insta360 X5 and DJI Action 5 Pro with full dive housings and extension poles. This setup allows me to capture unique, drone-like angles and underwater perspectives without the noise or regulations of an actual drone.

    • Agility & Redundancy: I never arrive without a safety net. I carry a full backup system including the Sony a6700, Sigma 18-50mm, and Sony 70-350mm to ensure that technical issues never derail a shoot.

    • Native Mobile: I also capture content on the iPhone 17 Pro (in a dive housing) to ensure specific social assets feel native, authentic, and trend-ready for the feed.

Note: For projects with specific creative requirements, I also source specialized Sony G Master optics to ensure the look matches your vision perfectly.

  • Yes. I offer licensing for commercial, editorial, and scientific use. All archive imagery is captured under my Admire from Afar™ methodology, which means it's ethically sourced and compliant with wildlife viewing regulations. If you need coastal or marine content that meets conservation standards, my archive is available. Visit our licensing page to submit an inquiry.

  • Ocean of Opportunity is how I give back. It has two tracks:

The Seal the Deal Grant offers a 50% discount on projects for mission-aligned small businesses and changemakers. Applications are reviewed quarterly.

Otterly Good Gifts provides pro bono media to grassroots nonprofits doing critical conservation work, like Sea Otter Savvy. Most opportunities are by invitation, but I do review applications and keep a shortlist of potential partners as capacity allows.

You can apply for consideration here.

  • Retainers are billed monthly with a quarterly commitment. Each month, you brief me on what you need: product documentation, seasonal campaigns, educational content, destination coverage. I execute the work using my coastal and marine access, and you get 25-30 images, 5-8 videos, and comprehensive metadata. We also have a monthly strategy sync to make sure the content is actually serving your goals.

On-site coverage within Ventura and Santa Barbara counties is included. Other locations are quoted based on travel requirements. The key is that you get a steady content stream without the overhead of hiring in-house or coordinating multiple freelancers.

  • Everything is transparent. All services include a two-person field team, comprehensive metadata (species ID, location details, technical specs), and digital usage rights.

For retainers, digital rights are included for the duration of our partnership. For one-time projects, you get 2-year digital rights. Print, broadcast, and out-of-home usage are available and quoted separately. California travel is included for Destination Storytelling Campaigns.

No surprise licensing fees. No nickel-and-diming. You know what you're paying upfront.

  • Coastal and wildlife work is unpredictable. If conditions make safe field work impossible (high winds, unsafe seas, poor visibility), we reschedule at no cost to you. For retainer clients, missed shoot days roll into the following month. For project work, I build buffer days into the timeline whenever possible.

I've been doing this long enough to know when to push through challenging conditions and when to call it. Your safety and the quality of the work come first.

  • Yes. Retainers work globally because you brief me remotely and I execute using my California coastal access. For Destination Storytelling Campaigns and Research & Scientific Documentation, I travel. California projects include travel costs. Out-of-state work is quoted based on location and logistics.

If you're based in Kentucky and need marine equipment footage, I can execute that here. If you need me on-site in Vancouver for a research expedition, we make that work too.

  • Start by submitting an inquiry.

Share details about your organization, timeline, and what you're looking to create. I'll respond within 2 business days with availability and next steps. For retainer partnerships, we'll schedule a discovery call to ensure we're the right fit before moving forward.
