Your Mission is Clear. Is Your Message?
You already know what matters most in your work.
My role is to help you share it through visuals and stories that reach the people you care about.
Your Creative Partner
I know what it’s like to wear every hat.
I’m Alexis Noelle. My work ethic wasn't built in a boardroom; it was forged in the steel town of Johnstown, PA and honed in Pittsburgh’s live music scene. Long before I stepped into high-level strategy, I was working on the ground floor of independent venues. I executed local marketing campaigns, managed production logistics, and built audience engagement programs from scratch.
That foundation took me to Los Angeles, where I spent nearly eight years at Universal Music Group and Apple. In a corporate culture built on specialization, I stood out by doing the opposite. I became the shapeshifter the business needed, bridging the gap between technology and creative to handle complex facets across strategy, operations, and marketing.
I founded Salt + Noelle to return to my primary passion: documenting the natural world.
What began as a personal outlet has grown into a conservation media studio and original content platform connecting over 100,000 readers to our wild places. Through my own photography and writing, I focus on meticulous documentation of the places where people and wildlife meet, making coastal conservation and ethical wildlife encounters accessible to everyone.
Today, operating from my dockside studio in Channel Islands Harbor, I extend that expertise to my community. Whether I am partnering with a global research team or a local coastal business, I recognize that you don't have the luxury of staying in one lane. You are often the director, the marketer, and the field operator all at once.
My goal is to help you streamline that chaos. Whether I am documenting a coastal expedition or building a digital roadmap, I bring big-agency clarity to your work so your story creates the impact it deserves.
Trusted by Leaders at Top Brands
While at Apple and Universal Music Group, I had the privilege of collaborating with leaders who shaped my career. Here’s what they’ve shared about working with me:

Ocean of Opportunity
GIFTED MEDIA SUPPORT & STORYTELLING GRANTSOcean of Opportunity is Salt + Noelle’s giving program for mission‑aligned organizations and community changemakers who need help sharing their stories.
Alongside our core commercial services, these grants are designed for teams with limited or no marketing budget who are doing vital work in conservation and community impact but lack access to high-quality creative support. Whether you’re restoring habitats, supporting coastal communities, or driving change in your neighborhood, Ocean of Opportunity helps you access ethical photography and strategic storytelling so your mission can reach more hearts and minds.
If you’re making a difference and need a boost to tell your story, we invite you to explore these opportunities.
Otterly Good Gifts
GIFTED MEDIA SUPPORT
Otterly Good Gifts are primarily invitation-only gifted media support opportunities, but we do consider select applications from groups that rely solely on donations and do not generate traditional revenue. We review these applications periodically and maintain a shortlist of potential partners.
This program provides limited-use photography for your website and social media, but does not include ongoing support or broader usage rights.
Seal the Deal Grant
STORYTELLING SUPPORT GRANT
The Seal the Deal Grant is designed for small businesses and community changemakers working to make a positive impact. This program offers 50% off a Signature Storytelling Project or a 3-month retainer to help you amplify your mission and reach new audiences.

& FAQs
-
Every partnership begins with a complimentary discovery call to ensure we're a good strategic fit. For consulting and strategic partnerships, the next step is our paid Content Audit & Roadmap, which provides the foundational plan for our long-term work together. For photography-only projects, we can move directly to a proposal after our call.
-
It comes down to one question: are we creating the story or capturing it?
The Signature Storytelling Project is a proactive, strategy-led campaign where we develop your narrative from concept to completion.
On-Location Documentary & Event Coverage is for when your story is already happening (an event, an expedition, or an eco-tour) and you need a professional to capture it authentically as it unfolds.
-
Our pricing is based on the value and outcomes we deliver, not the hours we spend. This value-based approach rewards efficiency and ensures our goals are perfectly aligned with yours: achieving the best possible result with cost certainty for you. An hourly rate fundamentally punishes the efficiency that comes from years of experience, and we believe you should benefit from that expertise, not be penalized by it.
-
As the creator, Salt + Noelle retains the copyright to all images, which is the standard for the commercial photography industry. Your investment includes a clear, written license that grants you the right to use the images for a specific duration and purpose (e.g., a 1-Year Organic Commercial License). This professional standard protects both parties and ensures you have the rights you need for your campaign's success. We will never license images containing your proprietary brand assets to any third party without your written consent.
-
Our giving program, “Ocean of Opportunity,” has two distinct avenues for supporting our community. The Seal the Deal Grant is a quarterly, application-based program offering a 50% discount on a Signature Storytelling Project or a 3‑month retainer for mission‑aligned small businesses and changemakers.
Separately, Otterly Good Gifts is our way of providing gifted (pro‑bono) media to select grassroots nonprofits, like Sea Otter Savvy. Most opportunities are primarily invitation‑only, but we do review applications from groups and maintain a shortlist of potential partners as capacity allows.
-
Yes. We are based in Southern California but are available for projects and expeditions worldwide. Local travel within 35 miles of ZIP code 93035 is included in your project investment.
Travel and accommodation expenses beyond that radius are billed separately from the project investment, and this is outlined with full transparency in every proposal.
-
We blend three unique elements: agency-level strategy honed at global brands like Apple and Universal Music Group; dedicated, hands-on founder involvement in every project; and a deep, unwavering commitment to an ethical, conservation-first approach to storytelling. You get the strategic rigor of a large agency with the personal attention and passion of a boutique, mission-driven studio.
-
Yes. Many of my clients are not local to Southern California. For brand and product content, we can often work together remotely: you ship your products to my dockside studio in Channel Islands Harbor, and I plan and execute a location-based shoot on the beach, around the harbor, or on the water. From there, you receive a curated library of photography and short-form video clips ready for your website, social media, and campaigns.
For larger campaigns, events, or fieldwork, I also travel - those projects are scoped with a custom proposal that includes transparent travel costs.
