Your Mission is Clear. Is Your Message?
You already know what matters most in your work.
My role is to help you share it through visuals and stories that reach the people you care about.
Meet the Founder
I’m Alexis Noelle Galasso. My work ethic wasn't built in a boardroom; it was forged in the steel town of Johnstown, PA and honed in Pittsburgh’s grassroots music scene.
Long before I stepped into high-level strategy, I was working on the ground floor of independent venues — executing local marketing campaigns, managing production logistics, and building audience engagement programs from scratch.
That foundation launched a 10-year career at the intersection of technology and culture. I spent four years at Apple, evolving from leading community creative education to driving marketing and sentiment analysis for Apple Music. I then spent six years at Universal Music Group, where I managed global digital release campaigns and commerce strategy for the world's largest recording artists. In a corporate culture built on specialization, I stood out by doing the opposite — bridging the gap between creative vision and technical operations to handle strategy, data, and marketing simultaneously.
-
I founded Salt + Noelle to return to my primary passion: documenting the natural world. What began as a personal outlet has grown into a conservation media studio connecting over 100,000 readers across 135 countries to our wild places. My photography — recently selected for the Griffin Museum of Photography’s Enduring Ground exhibition — focuses on the meticulous documentation of where people and wildlife meet. Guided by my Admire from Afar™ ethos, I create imagery with integrity, ensuring wildlife is never disturbed for the sake of a shot.
Today, operating from my dockside studio in Channel Islands Harbor, I extend that expertise to my community. Whether I am partnering with a global research team or a local coastal business, I recognize that you often don't have the luxury of staying in one lane. You are the director, the marketer, and the field operator all at once.
My goal is to help you streamline that chaos. Whether I am documenting a coastal expedition or building a digital roadmap, I bring big-agency clarity to your work so your story creates the impact it deserves.
Trusted by Leaders at Top Brands
While at Apple and Universal Music Group, I had the privilege of collaborating with leaders who shaped my career. Here’s what they’ve shared about working with me:

Living dockside means I am ready when the conditions are. From sunrise departures to Channel Islands crossings, I offer rapid deployment without travel logistics. I bring the ‘sea legs’ required to capture stable, high-value imagery on moving decks and the technical gear to document below the waterline.
The Listing ($550): Comprehensive sales coverage. Includes wide-angle interior tours for spatial flow, engine room details, and sub-surface hull/running gear documentation (prop & zinc checks via pole-cam) to aid in pre-survey transparency.
The Legacy ($850): Lifestyle and action. We leave the dock to document the vessel in motion. I capture candid moments on board while underway, or exterior running shots from a client-provided chase boat.

& FAQs

You work directly with me, Alexis Noelle. You aren't hiring a junior creative or an anonymous agency team; you are partnering with a strategist who brings over 10 years of experience in long-term roles at companies including Apple and Universal Music Group.
My philosophy is simple: Authenticity wins. I don't use heavy retouching or hired actors. I believe your story is strong enough to stand on its own, and I use natural light and candid moments to capture the version of your brand that feels real.
-
I maintain a robust, multi-camera arsenal designed to capture high-end content in any condition — from the studio to the sea.
Commercial & Print (Primary): My workhorse is the Sony A1 II (50MP) paired with the Sony 24-105mm G. This flagship system offers incredible resolution for large-scale prints and aggressive cropping without quality loss.
Ethical Wildlife: To adhere to my Admire from Afar ethos, I use the Sony 200-600mm G (plus 1.4x Teleconverters). This allows me to capture intimate portraits of wildlife without ever encroaching on their space.
Marine & Immersive: I use the Insta360 X5 and DJI Action 5 Pro with full dive housings and extension poles. This setup allows me to capture unique, drone-like angles and underwater perspectives without the noise or regulations of an actual drone.
Agility & Redundancy: I never arrive without a safety net. I carry a full backup system including the Sony a6700, Sigma 18-50mm, and Sony 70-350mm to ensure that technical issues never derail a shoot.
Native Mobile: I also capture content on the iPhone 17 Pro (in a dive housing) to ensure specific social assets feel native, authentic, and trend-ready for the feed.
Note: For projects with specific creative requirements, I also source specialized Sony G Master optics to ensure the look matches your vision perfectly.

Absolutely, this is actually where I thrive. My specialty is technical precision in chaotic marine environments, capturing sharp imagery in conditions where controlled studio setups just aren't an option.
I’m used to the specific challenges of open water — like handholding a heavy 600mm lens on a bouncing Zodiac off Point Bennett to capture pinnipeds from distance. I bring that same stability and grit to every shoot, fully equipped for 12+ hour days with YETI submersible bags and pro-grade foul weather gear.
I’m happiest in the cold, wind, and salt spray (though full disclosure: I melt in the heat, so the marine layer is definitely my happy place).
-
I believe you should be able to use your images without a headache. Our Signature Commissions and Memberships include Commercial Digital Rights, which covers your Website, Social Media, and Digital Ads. This means you don't have to worry about expiring licenses for your own channels.
By building these rights into our upfront investment, we ensure you have a permanent storytelling toolkit that grows with your mission. You are paying for the enduring value of the assets, not just the time it takes to capture them.
(If you need images for billboards, high-volume print, or retail merchandise, we can easily add a custom extension for an additional fee).
-
Yes! Distance isn't an issue. For products, we offer a "Ship-to-Studio" membership. You mail your items to Channel Islands Harbor, and I handle the styling and photography here. For larger creative projects, we can coordinate virtually, or I can travel to you.
-
We look at the gap between the amazing work you do and how the world actually sees it. We then provide a clear narrative strategy and a set of visual tools that make it easy for your team to share authentic stories that truly resonate with your community and partners.
-
Our giving program, “Ocean of Opportunity,” has two distinct avenues for supporting our community. The Seal the Deal Grant is a quarterly, application-based program offering a 50% discount on a Signature Storytelling Project or a 3‑month retainer for mission‑aligned small businesses and changemakers.
Separately, Otterly Good Gifts is our way of providing gifted (pro‑bono) media to select grassroots nonprofits, like Sea Otter Savvy. Most opportunities are primarily invitation‑only, but we do review applications from groups and maintain a shortlist of potential partners as capacity allows.
You can apply for consideration here.
-
Yes. While our foundation is in photography, we provide cinematic short-form video and field-based storytelling. We focus on 'moving portraits' and behind-the-scenes footage that captures the authentic momentum of your work, perfect for social campaigns and digital storytelling.
-
I believe the best creative partnerships are built on a foundation of openness from the very first hello. While large agencies often hide their rates, I choose to share mine upfront to respect your time and simplify your planning. This transparency allows us to skip the 'gatekeeping' and dive straight into the heart of your mission.
It’s my way of ensuring our journey together begins with clarity, trust, and a shared excitement for the work ahead.
-
Yes. I regularly travel for Signature Commissions and Field Reports.
Local: Travel within a 35-mile driving radius of Channel Islands Harbor is complimentary.
Distance: For locations beyond that range (or requiring sea/air transport), travel expenses are the responsibility of the client.
To keep things seamless, I typically handle booking logistics for myself and my field assistant/partner and bill the costs to the final invoice. However, I am flexible — if your organization has preferred travel vendors, corporate rates, or existing transport logistics (like a private vessel or charter), I am happy to coordinate with your team to find the most efficient solution.
