THE VIEW
Kayakers and paddleboarders launching from the public dock across the channel. Competitive rowers from Channel Islands Rowing Club heading out at dawn. Fishing charters, sailboats, and Duffy boats moving through the harbor all day. Sea lions surfacing between the docks. Pelicans, cormorants, and grebes working the water. Frank the great blue heron sleeping on someone else's sailboat like he pays rent. At night: stars, harbor lights on the water, planes overhead.

THE WILDLIFE
This stretch of harbor sits between open ocean and the Channel Islands. Brown pelicans dive for fish here and cormorants dry their wings on the rocks. Great blue herons show up to stalk the shallows, and sea lions and harbor seals pass through regularly. We also maintain bird feeders and a freshwater station just off camera, so hummingbirds, house finches, doves, and goldfinches move through the frame from time to time.
